ClimbColor is a free, open-source iPhone app for identifying and organizing same-color climbing holds. The app is designed to perform hold detection and color analysis on your device.
The developer does not collect, sell, rent, or use your personal data for advertising, analytics, or tracking. ClimbColor has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or developer-operated server.
Photos you take or choose are processed on your device. Imported and captured wall images, thumbnails, detected holds, route selections, and analysis results are stored locally in the app's sandbox unless you choose to save an image to the Photos app or share it using iOS.
If you grant location permission when taking a photo, ClimbColor can use approximate current location to group wall photos by gym or place. Imported photos may also contain their own location metadata. Location is stored locally with the wall record. The app may use Apple MapKit and geocoding services to turn a location into a nearby gym or place name. The developer does not receive this information.
ClimbColor uses Apple's operating-system frameworks and an open-source UltralyticsYOLO package for on-device model inference. The app does not include third-party advertising or analytics services.
You can delete saved walls and analyses from within ClimbColor. Deleting the app removes its locally stored app data. Images you separately saved to the Photos app must be deleted from Photos if you no longer want them there.
ClimbColor is open-source software. Source code and license information are published with the project repository.
